Escapee from Webster Co. jail captured

CLAY, Ky. (WTVQ) – State troopers say a man who escaped from Webster Co. jail has now been captured.

Troopers say they were contacted by the jail Monday around 8:00 a.m. about the escape.  Investigators say the Webster Co. Jail told them that Steven Long escaped while he was working as part of a mowing crew in Clay.

On Tuesday, Long was found in a home on East Short Street, according to police.  Troopers say Long was taken into custody without incident, and was charged with 2nd degree Escape.
