Epps’ progress: Making the right choices

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Makayla Epps is still serving her team suspension for the alcohol related charges brought against her back in April.

It was a lesson learned for Epps…and it’s changed her approach.

Matthew Mitchell is pleased with the progress his junior guard has made.  Epps has refocused her effort and energy on basketball instead of other things.

In coach’s mind, it’s pretty simple…you could go get on the internet or play around and make bad decisions…or you could get in the gym and prove you’ve learned a life lesson about more than hoops.
