Enjoy a special toast on National Bourbon Day

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Looking for a special toast with your family and friends on National Bourbon Day?

Well, you’ll be able to have a toast, and more later tonight here in Lexington.

Starting at 6:14 p.m., there will be a citywide toast to celebrate National Bourbon Day.

In celebration of National Bourbon Day, Crank and Boom Ice Cream Lounge will offer a limited edition bourbon and coke mixed with bourbon ice cream, and real Coca-Cola syrup at all locations.

The Old Bourbon County Kitchen is offering five dollar cocktails, select wines, and craft beers during happy hour from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Bluegrass Hospitality Group will also offer five dollar drink specials.

National Bourbon Day is special for Kentuckians; but the history behind it, is even more special.

According to the Kentucky Distillers Association, Bourbon is an 8.6 billion dollar industry in Kentucky, and adds 20,000 jobs to the state’s economy.

They also say there are almost two barrels of Bourbon for every person living in the state.
