Energy and environment conference set for Sept. 8-9

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Registration is underway in Kentucky for the annual Governor’s Conference on Energy and the Environment.

The state Energy and Environment Cabinet says the event is set for Sept. 8-9 at the Lexington Convention Center.

Participants including business and industry representatives, government officials, university officials and others will discuss a number of topics.

Topics will include the Environmental Protection Agency’s rule on greenhouse gas emissions, progress on Kentucky’s energy plan, university research, the business models of utility companies and business sustainability.
