“Empty Bowls” Feeds People In Need

Today was the 4th annual “Empty Bowls” event at Burbon n’ Toulousse.

For a $15 donation, people received a handmade ceramic bowl filled with food from the restaurant.

Artists at Kentucky Mudworks made 800 bowls to sell.

The money goes to “Moveable Feast,” which is an organization in Lexington that delivers warm meals, 5 days a week to hospice patients and people with HIV related illnesses.

As of this afternoon, event coordinators say they had sold between 400 – 450 bowls.
