Elderly Twins Accused Of Sex Crimes Will Go Before Grand Jury
The elderly twins, Jack and Jerry Cassidy, will go before a grand jury for sex crimes with minors.
The latest in a string of charges the twins are accused of: second degree sodomy and indecent and immoral practices.
Firefighters came to the twin brothers’ home and called police because what they saw was startling.
Officers said they saw about 70 photos of child porn. That has translated to felony charges for both brothers.
Court papers showed Jerry Cassidy confessed to performing sexual acts on a boy under the age of 15 back in 1975. He was a Boy Scout troop leader at the time.
Court documents also showed Jack Cassidy admitted to forcing a minor to perform sexual acts on him, while the victim was bound.
The brothers are also charged with two counts of any felony not covered.
The Cassidy’s are being held at the Fayette County Detention Center on a bail of $12,500. The judge said she sees them as a threat to the community.
