Elderly man found dead after house fire in Pulaski County

SCIENCE HILL, Ky. (WTVQ) – An elderly man was found dead following a house fire in Pulaski County.

Kentucky State Police say the fire broke out around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday at a home on Old Salts Road in Science Hill.

Firefighters were told there could be someone inside the home.

The Pulaski County Coroner’s Office says the body of 89-year-old Samuel Watson, of Science Hill, was found in the home around 3:15 p.m.

Investigators say preliminarily, no foul play is suspected.

The coroner says the body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy.
