EKU not interested in moral victories

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – EKU heads to West Lafayette, Indiana Saturday to kick off the season against Purdue on ESPN News at noon.

The Colonels have had some success against the FBS of late.  EKU hung with UK and took the Cats to overtime a year ago before falling 34-27.

The win over Miami (OH) back in 2014 was nice.  Plus, Eastern has played close games with K-State, Indiana and Louisville through the years as well.

Even though Mark Elder is the new head coach in Richmond, and everything changes, does he put much stock into the “good” showings of the past as the program heads into the 2016 season in a money game?

Hear from Elder in the video.
