EKU celebrates love story 100 years in the making

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ)- Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond is celebrating a love story that’s 100 years in the making.

The school says in the spirit of Valentine’s Day, it wants to share the story of 101-year-old Charley Lewis and his wife, 99-year old Cleda Lewis.

EKU says the couple met in high school, and attended EKU together before graduating in 1950. They’ve been married for 78 years, according to the university.
