Eight people arrested in Laurel County drug investigation
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Eight people were arrested Monday in Laurel County as part of a drug investigation by the sheriff’s office.
The arrests were made off of Hatcher Road, two miles east of London around 3:00 p.m., according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say they found suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, including scales.
Investigators say they witnessed people trafficking meth. During the arrests, deputies say some of the suspects ran, some hid and others resisted arrest. Investigators say some of the suspects had outstanding warrants.
Deputies say the following people were arrested and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center:
33-year old David Beckner, of London.
35-year old Donnie Bishop, of London.
62-year old Stevie Westerfield, of London.
56-year old Jesse R. Westerfield, of London.
50-year old Edward Belt, of London.
63-year old Judy Westerfield, of London.
43-year old James Daniels, of London.
45-year old Darrin M. Jackson, of London.
