Eggners Ferry Bridge reduced to 1 lane Saturday
AURORA, Ky. (AP) — A bridge that carries traffic across Kentucky Lake in western Kentucky will be restricted to one lane Saturday while crews work on a new bridge.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the U.S. 68-Kentucky 80 Eggners Ferry Bridge will be restricted to one lane starting at 10 a.m. CST to allow concrete to be poured for the new bridge.
Concrete trucks will be parked on one lane of the old bridge to deliver concrete to crews working on pier structures for the new crossing.
The cabinet says motorists should expect one-lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers.
The daytime work zone lane restriction is expected to be in place from 8 a.m. to about 4 p.m.
