Eastern KY Electric Company Preps For Outages

Kentucky Power serves 173,000 customers in eastern Kentucky, including the cities of Ashland, Pikeville, and Hazard.
Although the most widespread outages will likely be in the higher elevations where the most snow will fall, the gusty winds and saturated ground are reasons for concern.
Robb Robinson, with Kentucky Power, says they deployed extra crews along the Kentucky/Virginia border.
He says the company will help out in West Virginia, if its needed.
Robinson also urges people to use caution around downed lines and to immediately call your electric company.
