Early morning house fire in Clark County

CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) — Firefighters responded to an early morning house fire in Clark County Friday.

The Clark County Fire Department says firefighters responded to the house on Pine Ridge Road around 4:30 am.

Fire officials say a family lived there and made it out safely.

They say they had the fire under control around 6:30 am.

A battalion chief for the fire department tells us a kerosene heater and candles were lit since the family is renovating and there’s no electric in the house. The cause is under investigation.
