Early morning fire displaces Lexington residents

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington firefighters were called to a fire on New Circle Road early Monday morning.

According to the Lexington Fire Department, crews were dispatched around 3:06 a.m. to 1081 New Circle Road, where they arrived to find smoke showing from the building. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames.

No injuries were reported, but the occupants were displaced. The American Red Cross is helping them with housing and other needs.

A fire investigator responded to the scene to determine the origin and cause of the fire.
