Early Christmas morning fire sends one to the hospital

SOMERSET, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — One person was taken to the hospital on Wednesday morning after an apartment fire.

According to the fire department, there was heavy smoke and flames when they arrived at the complex on Winners Circle Drive in Somerset.

Investigators say the person who lived in the apartment was taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation and burns.
