Eagle watching events planned early next year in western Ky.
FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) – Eagle watching events are being offered again early next year at some state parks in western Kentucky.
Parks officials say the tours allow people to observe and learn about the birds of prey.
For four decades, the state parks have offered the Eagle Watch Weekends. It’s a chance to view eagles from land and water.
The tours take place at three state parks during the weekends of January and February. The excursions are led by state park naturalists and staff from the Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources.
The participating parks are Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park, Lake Barkley State Resort Park and Kenlake State Resort Park.
