Dunmor woman dies two days after car accident
BEECHMONT, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Dunmor woman died Sunday, two days after she was involved in a two vehicle crash on US 431 just north of Beechmont, according to State Police.
Investigators say 61-year old Dena Tensas died from her injuries at University of Louisville Hospital.
She was a passenger in a car driven by 58-year old James Krueger, of Dunmor. Investigators say Krueger was driving north of US 431 South around 7:24 a.m. on September 1, 2017. State Police say he crossed the center line into the southbound lane.
Investigators say 34-year old Amy Shelton, of Beech Creek, tried to avoid a collision, but Krueger’s passenger side front bumper hit the passenger side front bumper of Shelton’s vehicle.
State Police say everyone involved in the collision was wearing a seat belt.
James Krueger and Amy Shelton were taken to Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital by ambulance.
The accident is still under investigation by KSP.
