Dump sites found at Daniel Boone National Forest
LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Some trying to take in the natural beauty of the Daniel Boone National Forest are stumbling across trash instead.
According to the U.S. Forest Service, people have discovered several illegal dumping sites in the forest.
Rangers say the sites popped up over the winter months.
Forest officials are reminding campers that it is illegal to dump trash of any amount in a National Forest.
They say it is not only unsightly, but costly to remove as well.
