Drug trafficking arrest nets $69K in seized drugs

MAYFIELD, Ky. (WTVQ) -Kentucky State Police say a tip led them to a drug trafficking arrest and the seizure of thousands of dollars in cash and tens of thousands worth of drugs.

Officers say the tip came in on Wednesday, and led them to search a home on Tom Drive in Mayfield at about 10:00 p.m.

Troopers say during their search, they found 46 grams of cocaine, 23 grams of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and $3,500 dollars in cash.

Investigators estimate the street value of the drugs at $69,000 dollars.

38-year-old Andre V. Chism was arrested in the case.  He was charged with trafficking, possession, and harboring a vicious animal.
