Drug bust at motel lands three in jail in London

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Three people were arrested on drug charges at a motel in Laurel County Thursday morning.

Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies say the arrests came at a motel off West Cumberland Gap Parkway, about ten miles south of London.

Deputies say they found a man and woman drunk in the motel parking lot in a vehicle along with a large quantity of crystal methamphetamine, paraphernalia, syringes and a BB gun that resembled a pistol.

Investigators say they found another man and a large quantity of crystal methamphetamine, digital scales, syringes, marijuana and money inside a motel room.  Deputies say the man created a disturbance, but was arrested after a brief scuffle.

Deputies say the woman who was arrested gave them a false name by using another woman’s identification during her arrest.  She was later positively identified using fingerprints as 30-year old Amara Creech, of Georgetown.  Deputies say she was already wanted in Laurel County on drug charges following an indictment.

Deputies say they also arrested 43-year old Johnny Lee Arthur, of London and 41-year old Damas Glen Osborne, of Somerset.

All three were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
