Drug arrest at Whitley Co. Shell Station

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Whitley Co. Sheriff says a woman was arrested Thursday on drug charges after giving deputies a false name.

According to the Sheriff, deputies say two suspicious vehicles parked in the lot of the Shell Station near exit 15 of I-75, one of which deputies had found drugs in before at the same location.

When deputies went to investigate, they say they found four women, including one who was acting nervously and who they discovered was giving them a false name.  Working with Whitley County Dispatch, deputies say they discovered the woman giving a false name was 33-year-old Trevia Aker, who had three warrants for her arrest.

Investigators say the drivers gave them permission to search their cars.  According to deputies, in the car Aker was riding in, they found a makeup bag with several used needles, and one needle that an unknown liquid substance in it.  Deputies say they also found a pop can that had been used to melt drugs into a liquid form in the same car.

Deputies say Aker told them that the substance in the needle and the residue on the pop can was Opana, a pain medication.  They say she also admitted to having a drug problem.

Aker was arrested and charged with giving an officer a false name, and possession charges.

She was taken to the Whitley Co. Detention Center.
