Drivers urged to avoid KY 1247 after multi-vehicle crash in Burnside

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Drivers in Pulaski County are being asked to avoid part of KY 1247 after a multi-vehicle crash Wednesday morning.

According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Bobby Jones and the Burnside Police Department are on scene of a crash involving multiple vehicles within the Burnside city limits.

Deputies say KY 1247 is currently impacted between the intersections of KY 914 and KY 1247, and KY 1247 and U.S. 27. Drivers are being advised to avoid that stretch of road and find alternate routes.

In the same update, Sheriff Jones is also warning drivers to use extra caution while traveling this morning due to heavy fog in the area, which could make driving conditions dangerous.

No word yet on injuries or when the roadway may reopen. Officials say updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
