Driver spots house on fire, calls 911

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A driver is being credited with spotting a fire coming from a home Thursday morning and calling 911.

Firefighters say they got the call at around 10:45 a.m.

When they got to the scene, fire was coming from the attic of the home in the 100-block of Carlisle Avenue.

They say no one was in the home at the time.

Firefighters were able to knock it down quickly.

The home did sustain smoke damage.

There is no word yet on the cause of the fire.
