Driver Charged With DUI After Laurel Co. Crash

Laurel County deputies said a driver was under the influence Tuesday afternoon when he crashed outside of London.

Investigators said it happened around 2:45 on Tom Cat Trail.

Deputies called to the scene said they found a Nissan Maxima that had gone over an embankment and landed upside down.

According to investigators, a passenger in the car was seriously injured and was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Deputies said the driver, Matthew Storms, 30, Corbin, faced several charges including DUI, reckless driving and failure to wear seatbelts.
