DQ employee hit with gun during robbery
NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Dairy Queen employee is recovering after being hit during a late-night robbery.
Nicholasville police say they were called to the Dairy Queen on South Main Street just after 10 p.m. Wednesday to a report of an armed robbery.
They say two men wearing masks – one armed with a gun – demanded money from the employees.
During the robbery, one employee was struck on the head with a handgun, suffering minor injuries, according to police.
They say the thieves not only took cash but also made off with two cell phones.
Police are still searching for the suspects.
