Dozens charged in shoplifting sting in Richmond
RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – A three-day operation led to charges against more than 50 people in Richmond.
The Richmond Police Department says it conducted a joint operation with local retail loss prevention officers on August 7, 8, and 9 to target and identify those involved in retail theft.
Richmond Police say when the operation ended, there were a total of 41 shoplifting charges, 21 drug charges, 13 warrants served, and 11 other related charges.
In total, 56 people were charged with various crimes.
