Downed electric line causes woods fire in Estill Co.

ESTILL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Estill County Fire Department says they responded to a woods fire caused by a downed electric line.

The fire department says this happened in the Tipton Ridge Road and Driftwood Drive area.

Firefighters say a tree fell on a main transmission line.

They say crews remained on scene until the electric company was able to re-route the electric and were able to extinguish the tree that was burning.
