Double murder suspect back in Ky. after arrest in Indiana
SOMERSET, Ky. (WTVQ) — A Pulaski County double murder suspect who was arrested in Indiana in November has been extradited to Kentucky.
Austin Prather was booked into the Pulaski County Detention Center on Thursday afternoon.
He’s charged with two counts of murder, three counts of robbery, and one count each of attempted murder and tampering with physical evidence.
His court date is scheduled for Dec. 14.
On Nov. 8, Prather allegedly shot and killed his grandfather and father, and shot and stabbed his grandmother on Raleigh Road around 11:47 p.m. in Science Hill.
Prather fled the scene in a 2013 brown Jeep Wrangler, Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones told ABC 36.
He was later arrested in Indiana that night.
The victims were identified as Ardyth Prather, Jr., 67; and Ardyth Prather III, 43.
