“Don’t drink that poison.”

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – “There are no easy roads,” Coach Cal said Wednesday to the media in Atlanta ahead of Thursday night’s Sweet 16 game with Kansas State.

Kentucky escaped Boise, Idaho by beating a No. 12 seed (Davidson – 78-73) and then a No. 13 seed (Buffalo – 95-75).  Now, a No. 9 seed and either No. 7 Nevada or No. 11 Loyola-Chicago stand in the way of a Final Four berth.

The trick?  Cal says his guys can’t believe they have an easy road now because the competition isn’t seeded highly.  “Don’t drink that poison.”
