Domestic dispute leads to shots fired; no injuries reported, say police

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Lexington police are investigating after shots were fired near an apartment complex Tuesday morning.

According to the Lexington Police Department, officers were dispatched around 7:30 a.m. to the 3600 block of Bold Bidder Drive, near the Briarwood Apartments, after receiving reports of a domestic disturbance.

Investigators say someone fired several rounds into the air before running from the scene. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the person responsible.

Police say no injuries were reported.
