Dogs attack woman in Lincoln Co.

STANFORD, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lincoln Co. Sheriff says a woman’s arm was nearly ripped off, after she was attacked by six dogs.

According to the Sheriff it happened off of Julian Lane in Stanford after the dogs got out of their cage.  Deputies say she was in her front yard when it happened.  The woman was airlifted to UK hospital with life threatening injuries.

They say the dogs’ owner, Chris Pope, had just moved to the area, and was there when it happened but left afterward.  All the dogs were taken to the Lincoln Co. animal shelter.  Deputies say the dogs had previously been impounded in Boyle Co. and that Pope had just gotten them back four days ago.
