A dog is rescued; On the road to recovery

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A dog in rural Kentucky was found emaciated with a trap on her foot and three baby puppies by her side.

Paws 4 the Cause got a call about the dog, Skye, and their first step was to get the trap off her foot.

When that was done safely, they realized Skye’s injury were severe and they were forced to amputate her foot.

Skye is staying in a foster home with one of the organization’s volunteers.

Within the next few weeks, Skye is expected to be healthy enough to be adopted.

“She just really needs someone there to love on her and she’ll love you back. She’s very, very sweet,” said Kathryn Myers, Volunteer.

Skye was found with three baby puppies and all of them are in new homes.
