Dog owner in Anderson County charged with animal cruelty

Police accuse a Lawrenceburg man of tying up a dog in his backyard and allowing it to starve to death.

According to the Anderson Newspaper Howard Tinnell is charged with second degree animal cruelty .

The newspaper says the dog had been tied up for two weeks and was dead. A police report says the dog had no food, water, or shelter.
