Dog falls out of plane and dies at Blue Grass Airport

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – There was an unusual incident Friday at Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport that left a dog dead and officials looking at a door latch on a private plane.

Airport officials say a plane was being used by Pilots & Paws, which is a volunteer organization that sends animals to people in different places, for adoption.  The airport says the back of the plane wasn’t properly latched, which allowed a dog to fall out.  Officials say five puppies that were in the plane, were not hurt.
