Dog dies of hypothermia in Franklin County
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Animal Control in Franklin County is investigating after a dog died from hypothermia.
According to the humane society, the dog was picked up Tuesday in critical condition. Authorities named the dog Gabriel.
A veterinarian tried to save Gabriel, but he later died from hypothermia at the animal shelter.
Officials say hypothermia is a medical condition that happens when body temperatures drop too low after exposure to the cold.
