Disaster loan center opening in Paducah for July flooding
PADUCAH, Ky. (AP) — Businesses and residents affected by flash flooding earlier this month in the Paducah area can apply for low-interest Small Business Administration loans.
An SBA disaster declaration stemming from flooding on July 7 covers McCracken County and the adjacent counties of Ballard, Carlisle, Graves, Livingston and Marshall in Kentucky and Massac and Pulaski in Illinois.
A center is opening Wednesday and will be open through Aug. 6. Customer service representatives from the SBA will be available there to answer questions and help people fill out applications. The center is located at the Paducah-McCracken County Convention and Expo Center.
Applications may also be submitted online at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela .
Applications for physical property damage must be submitted by Sept. 22. Economic injury applications are due by April 25.
