One person rescued from apartment fire in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – One person was taken to the hospital and another was rescued from a fire in Lexington Monday afternoon, according to officials.
The Lexington Fire Department says the fire happened on Cambridge Drive at Carolyn Manor Apartments.
They say one person was rescued from the third floor apartment balcony. Another was taken to the hospital to be evaluated for smoke inhalation, according to investigators.
The fire department says four of the apartments are not livable and the Red Cross is assisting the people who lived there.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
