Detectives point to gang retaliation in 2019 Lexington homicide

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A detective testified Thursday that a shooting in Lexington last year was an act of gang-related retaliation, according to the Lexington-Herald Leader.

In October, the Lexington Police Department said three 18-year-old men were shot in a car on Winchester Road and East Seventh Street. Officers say two of the victims, Dwayne Slaughter and Darrian Webb, died from their injuries.

Police said callers reported seeing a light-colored SUV firing shots at the passenger car.

The newspaper reports investigators found 37 shell casings at the scene of the shooting.

John Boulder and De’Shaun Armor, both 20-years-old, are charged in connection with the homicide.

Police say Boulder is also a suspect in the 2019 homicide on Osage Court.

That shooting killed 23-year-old Damontrial D. Fulgham in December. A second person was shot, but survived.
