Details on Salvation Army’s Christmas dinner

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Salvation Army announces its Christmas Dinner plans.

The organization says dinner, consisting of roast beef and all the trimmings, will be served on December 25 beginning at noon.

Volunteers will begin setting up Friday beginning at 1 p.m.

The dinner will be held at The Salvation Army, 736 W. Main Street, Lexington, KY.

The Salvation Army says more than 800 meals were served last year.

In addition to the meal at the Salvation Army, volunteers will also deliver meals to over 200 elderly and homebound persons.

A Toy Store set up by Centenary United Methodist Church Youth Group will provide new gifts for children attending the dinner. Adults will be given a new UK sweatshirt from Wildcat Wearhouse.

Sponsors of this year’s Christmas Day Dinner are Clark Material and Handling Company and Whitaker Bank Corporation of Kentucky.
