Derby Wagering Without The Long Drive
If you can’t make it to Churchill Downs tomorrow, Keeneland officials said you can still place your Derby bets closer to home.
Wagering can be done inside Keeneland, at betting windows, kiosks or on smart phones.
The race track even has drive-thru wagering.
Bill Rankin and his family drove to Kentucky from Virginia, so they already had a longer way to travel. He said he’s been to Churchill Downs but he now prefers placing his Derby bets at Keeneland.
“Keeneland’s a lot easier to deal with,” Rankin said. “Betting is efficient and it’s always a good time out here.”
Keeneland will open its gates for Derby festivities tomorrow at 9 a.m.
Admission is $5. Children 12 and under get in free.
