Deputies: Teen Slams Car Into Tree In Frankfort
A teenager suffered serious injuries after slamming his car into a tree overnight in Franklin county.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said the 18-year-old driver sped past them, doing about 100 miles per hour just before 1:30 a.m.
They said they began a pursuit.
A short time later, the driver went off Old Owenton Road in Frankfort and struck the tree.
He was cut from the car and airlifted to Frankfort Regional hospital then onto the University of Kentucky hospital.
He was last listed in serious condition, according to deputies.
