Deputies: Teacher arrested after showing up to school drunk
GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ)- Scott County Sheriff’s deputies say a substitute teacher is accused of showing up to class drunk.
According to the arrest citation, Brook West admitted to drinking four shots of vodka around 11 a.m.
The citation says authorities were called to Royal Spring Middle School after they say West was yelling and cursing at a class of 11-13 year olds.
Deputies say she smelled of alcohol and blew a .317 on the breathalyzer.
Scott County Schools says West is no longer employed with the district.
