Deputies suspect drugs in Clark Co. school bus accident
WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – Deputies say that drugs may have been a factor in a collision between a car and a Clark Co. school bus on Friday.
According to the Winchester Sun, the crash happened just after 3:00 p.m. on Mount Sterling Road, when 24-year-old Audrey Fulks’ Dodge Avenger ran head-on into the school bus. The driver of the bus, Goble Davis, told deputies Fulks was traveling the wrong direction in his lane, and didn’t respond after Davis blew his horn.
Deputies had to help Fulks get out of her vehicle, and then reportedly found a black box with glass pipes, straws, and a green plastic box containing a “clear rock-like substance” while they were looking for her license and insurance card. Deputies say Fulks also had slurred speech, according to the Sun.
About 10 children were on the bus, however none of them were injured, according to the newspaper.
