Deputies seek suspect in early morning hit-and-run at Middlesboro gas station

BELL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The Bell County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect involved in an early morning hit-and-run at a gas station in Middlesboro.

According to a news release, the incident happened around 5:30 a.m. on Thursday at Casey’s gas station. A woman was hit by a vehicle in the parking lot. The vehicle then left the scene heading toward Middlesboro.

The woman was taken to Middlesboro ARH Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

Investigators shared surveillance photos of the vehicle and a male passenger, who may have distinct forearm tattoos that could help with identification. While the images are low quality, the sheriff’s department hopes someone will recognize the individual or the person who might own the vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call Bell County Dispatch at 606-337-6174 or message the sheriff’s department. All tips will be kept confidential.
