Deputies: Search underway for woman that nearly hit deputy

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Deputies in Laurel County want to find a woman they say blocked a school bus with her car and then almost hit a deputy while speeding away from the scene.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says Nicole Stewart sped away from a deputy who responded to a complaint about the blocked bus Friday morning.

The sheriff says as she was speeding off Stewart almost hitting the deputy’s cruiser.

The car she was in was found abandoned about three miles away.
