Deputies: Father Used Son As Lookout During Assault
Authorities said a father made his young son act as a lookout while he beat his wife at her workplace.
The Laurel County Sheriff said Earl Jackson, 37, showed up at his wife’s job on Saturday after assaulting her earlier that day.
Witnesses tell deputies Jackson instructed his eight-year-old son to watch out for police while he went inside.
The sheriff said Jackson’s wife was hiding in the bathroom but he talked her into coming out.
That’s when he started assaulting her,
He left the scene before deputies arrived but was arrested a short time later.
Jackson is at the Laurel County Detention Center charged with assault and unlawful transaction with a minor.
