Deputies charge man for stealing donation jar

CORBIN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Deputies arrest and charge a suspect they say stole a donation jar in Knox County.

Deputies say on November 6 they received a call about the theft from a local business. They say the jar had an undetermined amount of money and was going to be donated to the Knox-Whitley Animal Shelter.

The suspect was identified as 36-year-old Troy Grubb.

Deputies say they arrested Grubb on November 22 after finding him attempting to hide inside an apartment. He is charged with theft by unlawful taking.
