Defensive production

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Adversity hits.  At times, it hits hard.

Guys don’t live up to the superstar billing sometimes, and that’s okay.  Jordan Jones and Mike Edwards didn’t make every tackle and every play Saturday.  It was a team defensive effort in Hattiesburg.

There’s plenty of talent on the field wearing blue and white.  The catch is getting production from all of those guys.

Stoops says 24 players in all produced in the season-opening win.

Stoops doesn’t always keep track of that stat, and it’s not solely comprised of stats, but that number is good…especially for the ones who did it on “D.”
