Deaths of mother, 2 young sons deemed murder-suicide

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) – A woman and her two children have been found dead in what authorities in Kentucky say is a murder-suicide.

News outlets report Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Larry Carroll identified the three people found dead Friday night in the Lynnview neighborhood as 36-year-old Ashley Hooper and her sons, 10-year-old Avery Hooper and 8-year-old Aairden Hooper. The coroner’s office completed the autopsies Saturday and said in a release that the two boys each died of a single gunshot and that the mother died from a self-inflicted wound.

Louisville Metro Police Department homicide detectives are investigating.
