Death investigation underway at Livingston County school campus

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A death investigation is underway after a body was discovered on school grounds in Livingston County Thursday afternoon.

According to a post from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, deputies were notified around 12:30 p.m. about a body found on the property of North Livingston Elementary and Livingston County Middle School.

Sheriff Bobby Davidson said deputies responded immediately and secured the scene. The case has since been handed over to Kentucky State Police, who are now leading the investigation.
